Limited Release Old Friends Commemorative Bottle from Alltech’s Lexington Brewing Company

[Lexington, KENTUCKY] – Alltech’s Lexington Brewing Company will be releasing a limited-edition commemorative bottle of award-winning Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale for the holiday season.  Proceeds will benefit the Old Friends Farm in Georgetown Kentucky, as well as the Don MacBeth Memorial Jockey Fund for injured and disabled riders.

"We can’t thank all of Alltech enough.  This is going to be a great partnership," said Michael Blowen, CEO of Old Friends Farm.

The farm, located in Georgetown, Kentucky, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a dignified retirement to thoroughbreds whose racing and breeding careers have ended.

This special bottle will be decorated with a picture of Chris McCarron, a retired American thoroughbred racing Hall of Fame jockey, and Precisionist, an American Hall of Fame thoroughbred.  Together the pair won 17 stakes races, including the 1985 Breeders Cup Sprint, and became one of the winningest duos in racing history, with earnings just short of $3.5 million.

Hand numbered and personally autographed by Mr. McCarron, this commemorative bottle will be available for purchase in Lexington and Louisville wherever fine wines and liquors are sold.

Alltech’s Lexington Brewing Company is located in downtown Lexington, Kentucky and produces Kentucky Ale, Kentucky Light and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale.

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is created by filling freshly decanted bourbon barrels with Kentucky Ale, and letting them rest for six weeks. The beer recently won a silver medal in the "barrel-aged" category at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver, Colorado, and has won the Taste of the Bluegrass Best Alcoholic Beverage distinction for three years in a row.

Alltech is the proud sponsor of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010™ to be held at the Kentucky Horse Park.
