Alltech Opens New Office in New Zealand

[Lexington, KENTUCKY] – As part of its continuing global expansion, Alltech, a leader in animal health and nutrition, has announced the opening of its first office in New Zealand.

The new Auckland-based office forms part of the company’s overall growth plans and reinforces its commitment to the New Zealand animal feed and food production industries. The Auckland office will provide sales and service support to the growing number of partners and customers in the country. The facility provides an example of the company’s business policy of thinking on a global scale while taking action in the communities it is a part of.

Commenting on the initiative, Steve Bourne, vice president of Alltech Asia Pacific, said, "Our newest Alltech office will enable our team to quickly identify issues encountered by New Zealand producers, working with them to provide solutions to those issues. This office will also allow us to build on our investment in research, continuing our work with Massey University and other partners."

For the past twenty years, the New Zealand distributor of Alltech products, Cundy Technical Services Ltd (CTS), has supported Alltech products and values in the New Zealand market.

Mike and Diana Cundy will continue to provide support and consultative services to Alltech (NZ) Ltd. in its developmental stages. Other employees of CTS, including Margaret Hakaraia, Rob McFarlane and Jean Huggins, will join Alltech’s Asia-Pacific team. Trish Lewis will work closely with Alltech, providing technical support to the New Zealand dairy industry.

"The decision to open an Alltech office in Auckland is a further demonstration of our commitment to providing localized support to our customers. We thank Cundy Technical Services for their long-term support of Alltech products, and aim to provide the same high level of service to customers in New Zealand. This new office will allow us to focus on delivering value and supporting our globally proven products locally," said Kim Turnley, regional manager, Alltech Pacific Rim.

Alltech has always been guided by the ACE philosophy, care for the Animal, the Consumer and the Environment.  All products are guaranteed by the Alltech Quality System™, which ensures local and international quality standards are exceeded in production sites around the world, guaranteeing customers that Alltech makes quality, traceability and safety a priority.

Alltech provides scientifically-proven, natural products that add value to feed, including Bioplex®, Bio-Mos®, Sel-Plex®, Allzyme® SSF, Yea-Sacc®1026, NuPro® and MTB-100®.

Alltech will host its 24th International Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium, focusing on the ‘Greenest Generation’, April 20-23, 2008 in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.
