[Dublin, IRELAND] – Over 1700 attendees were surveyed during Alltech’s annual Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium from 20-23 April 2008.

• 70% responded that biofuels will increase the cost of food by more than 30%;

• 48% of respondents agreed that the current generation of agriculture could be considered the greenest generation ever;

• Over half of respondents believed that pollution legislation will noticeably increase feed cost;

• The vast majority of those surveyed consider that more efficient food production is the key to the future success of animal farming.
