Alltech Aquaculture Brands

Bio-Mos™ Aqua Grade is derived from the cell wall of a specific strain of yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae 1026) and intended for inclusion in aquaculture feeds. Research and commercial trials have demonstrated its efficacy as a feed additive in a range of fish and shrimp species.

Aqua-Mos™ is derived from the cell wall of a specific yeast strain (Saccharomyces cerevisiae1026), and intended for on-farm use, either in farm-made feeds or as a top-coat on commercial feeds. Research and commercial trials in several species and countries have demonstrated its efficacy.

NuPro® is a yeast extract derived from a select strain of yeast, grown under consistent and carefully controlled conditions. It provides an excellent source of protein, amino acids, nucleotides and important vitamins and can be used in aquaculture feed formulations and as an on-farm additive.

De-Odorase™ is an extract from the Yucca plant, grown by Inyuca, an Alltech company, in the deserts of Mexico. It is supplemented with enzymes and used to reduce ammonia and nitrite levels in fresh- and salt-water aquaculture.

Bioplex® is Alltech's range of essential trace mineral supplements in organic form first went on sale in 1990. With special formulations for all species, Bioplex Trace Minerals address fundamental mineral deficiencies that affect animal productivity, performance and profitability

Sel-Plex® is an organic selenium, first marketed in 1993, is a selenium yeast for use in in aquaculture feeds. Sel-Plex offers a safer, more bioavailable source of selenium and has been reviewed by the United States' Food and Drug Administration for safety and efficacy in other species. Sel-Plex is backed by over $1 million dollars in research and has proven product performance data available from field trials and university research.

Mycosorb® Mycotoxins are a rising threat in several aquaculture species. Mycosorb is a natural feed additive for aquaculture, launched in 1993. Mycosorb has already been awarded two patents, which protect its novel composition and methods of production. Mycosorb is not marketed in the USA or Canada.

Shrimp-Pak 604™ is a unique combination product containing Aqua-Mos™ and De-Odorase™ together with Sel-Plex® and Bio-Chrome™ aimed at on-farm and in-feed use.

SSF is a natural complex that improves profitability through maximizing nutrient release. Â In feed, the complex work synergistically to break down the different substrates. As a result, more nutrients are available to the animal, thus improving growth and economic efficiency.Â The multiple activities in Allzyme SSF allows for a more flexible approach to feed formulation through the inclusion of by-products or by reducing nutrient constraints in the diet, particularly energy, calcium and available phosphorus.
